What We Do

We make it easier for people to understand, talk about, and access mental health support.

  • Mental Health Awareness Campaigns – Community education that breaks stigma and encourages help-seeking.

  • Community & School Presentations – Talks and trainings, including law enforcement trainings and youth mental health first aid.

  • Heroes of Hope Squad – Interactive booths at parades and festivals that connect families with resources.

  • Case Management for Schools – We link school counselors and staff with trusted prevention and mental health resources.

  • 1P Kids Succeed - Community coalition to increase community collaboration around youth mental health and prevent substance use.

We strengthen families and protect youth by teaching practical skills for healthy living.

  • Strengthening Families Program – A proven 11-week parenting and family bonding course.

  • This Is Not About Drugs (TINAD) – An evidence-based opioid prevention class for middle and high schools.

  • Parenting Conversations & Resource Kits – Simple tools that help parents talk to kids about mental health and substance use.

  • Youth Engagement – Programs that encourage positive choices and build protective factors.

We invest in the next generation of behavioral health professionals to expand care in rural communities.

  • Mental Health Internship & Clinical Development Program – Collaborating with universities and providers to offer hands-on training for aspiring counselors and social workers.

  • Licensure Preparation – Equipping trainees with the skills and supervision hours needed to achieve licensure in Oregon and Idaho.

  • Career Pathways – Partnering with behavioral health organizations and funders to create structured, local career pathways for social workers and counselors.

  • Workforce Retention – Supporting long-term retention in rural areas through training, mentorship, and incentives that keep skilled professionals serving rural and frontier communities.

Testimonials

"Insight Matters Inc., recently provided a evidenced based, interactive, online alcohol prevention program in our school and others. I am so grateful that we were able to integrate the program into our classes because it was so well received by the high schoolers and had a very positive impact!"
